Our WarrantyWarranty ProcedureWe suggest you contact our tech support team first by e-mail (support@reboot.ca) or telephone (250-380-0377) to determine whether the item is indeed defective before shipping. Then make a return merchandise authorization (RMA) request. See Return Policy for more details. All warranty claims found to be invalid will be subject to a minimum $40 diagnostics fee. Limited Warranty (Computer Systems)Reboot Consulting warrants to the original purchaser that any part of the hardware system excluding software, documentation and similar items will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the period of your warranty from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, Reboot Consulting will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, the defective hardware system, free of charge for labour and parts and shipping for the first year. The remedy for this breach of warranty is limited to replacement or repair with parts warranted for the longer of thirty (30) days or the remainder of the warranty period. Any additional purchases or upgrades will not extend this warranty. Excluded from this warranty is any damage caused during shipment (except the shipment to the original purchaser) and any damage caused by: impacts, fluids, fire, flood, wind, earthquake, lightning or similar disaster; unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals, improper use, environment, installation or electrical supply; improper maintenance; any other misuse, abuse, or mishandling. Reboot Consulting's sole liability, under this warranty, for failure to repair or replace the hardware system after a reasonable number of attempts is limited to replacement or, at Reboot Consulting's sole discretion, refund of the original purchase price. The above constitutes purchaser's exclusive remedies for breach of warranty. Reboot Consulting shall, under no circumstances, be liable for any other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential and other similar claims whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, absolute or strict liability, or any other similar theories. Damages excluded include but are not limited to: loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of use of the hardware system, loss of use of related equipment, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, "down-time", purchaser's time, injury to property, and all claims of third parties. 30-Day Money Back GuaranteeIn addition to our standard warranty, we also offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all of our systems. You may return the system if you are not satisfied with your system within 30 days for a refund. Refund is only issued for the sale amount, and does not include freight. Returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. To return any merchandise, an (RMA) needs to be obtained by calling our customer service department and providing the invoice number, item description, and serial number(s). The returned merchandise must include the (RMA) and its original packaging, manuals, and all accessories. The 20% restocking fee is non-negotiable as soon as the product is opened. There are absolutely no returns on any software sold by Reboot Consulting, all sales on software items are final. Reboot Consulting will not be responsible for consequential damage to the boards or the system or any of its components caused by either internal or external equipment, shorted connections or components not installed by or purchased from Reboot Consulting. Reboot Consulting will also not be responsible for damages to any components or loss of any data inadvertently caused by products, under normal or abnormal use, purchased from Reboot Consulting. The limited warranty also does not cover damages or defects that may have been caused by: Shipping damage(other than the original shipment), improper installation or maintenance, misuse, neglect or improper environment, repair, modification, adjustment, or installation of options or parts not by an Reboot Consulting employee, inadequate or excessive electrical power surges, or other power irregularities. Reboot Consulting will also not replace, repair, or refund on any purchase if the item serial numbers do not match, or if the product is not sold directly by Reboot Consulting. One-Year WarrantyAll parts (except OEM CPUs, and refurbished items) come with a warranty against manufacturer defect or failure for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers replacement of the product with the same product or like product as determined by the customer and RMA when direct replacement is unavailable. 30-Day WarrantyAll OEM CPU's unless specifically stated otherwise, carry an implied, industry-standard 30-Day warranty against defects due to manufacturing or failure. Warranty does not include overclocking, use of CPU without cooling fan, improper voltage, or any use of the CPU that does not fall into the designed use of the CPU as intended by the manufacturer. Manufacturer WarrantyManufacturers often offer additional warranty for the following products: hard drives, retail boxed CPUs, and monitors. Customers should contact the perspective manufacturer after warranty with Reboot Consulting expires. Customers may also pay Reboot Consulting a service fee ($25 per item) plus shipping to have such warranty work completed through Reboot Consulting. Lifetime WarrantySelect products only. This warranty is for replacement of like items only. Lifetime warranty does not cover items out of production or if Reboot Consulting no longer stocks them. (Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the product on the market. Outdated technology is not covered by lifetime warranty if the item is no longer available on the common market as a new product.) All Other Warranty CoverageCertain parts may come with extended Manufacturer's Warranty. The equipment Manufacturer honors this warranty and Reboot Consulting assumes no responsibility in honoring this warranty. Reboot Consulting will attempt to RMA a product to the manufacturer in special cases when requested by the customer. Customer assumes all shipping costs to manufacturers. A handling charge of up to $25 dollars will be charged over and above the shipping cost to RMA a product to the manufacturer if the customer chooses not to deal directly with the manufacturer directly. Warranty ForfeitureWarranty is not granted if a product is received without original invoice. Warranty is void if serial tags, receiving numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer seals have been removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty is void if mishandling, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void manufacturer's warranty has occurred. Products damaged due to improper or inadequate packaging when returned for RMA purposes are not granted warranty coverage. Shipping Costs (Computer Systems)Customer assumes all costs in shipping to us, and we assume the cost in shipping back to the customer if under the 1 year warranty. Customer assumes all shipping costs if outside of the 1 year warranty period. 2nd and 3rd year warranty (if applicable). For computer systems sold by Reboot Consulting that hold a 2 year or 3 year warranty, all terms of the warranty agreement apply, with the exception of shipping cost. The customer is responsible for shipping to and from the Reboot Consulting depot. |
